So here's how this works. I have a spouse who often travels and so I frequently find myself alone when it comes to meals. This is a situation that I find seriously tests my will power, as the easiest thing to do in these circumstances is to pick up the phone and dial for a pizza. The problem with eating alone is twofold, firstly if I try to actually shop for ingredients I find that I end up throwing away lots of food because I just cant get through the quantity that I have to buy and secondly I am often just not inspired to go into the kitchen for hours on end just to make something for myself. So, here is the solution. The recipes in this section use predominantly the same fresh ingredients, so they are satisfying in that you don't end up throwing food away. Secondly, they take no more than ten minutes to prepare, so they mean that you don't feel like you spend all day cooking just to eat the results in five minutes flat. Finally, in addition to being good for you they are lovely, and really, isnt that what it's all about?
Note - these recipes do not have a simple and a sensational version. They are all simple and delicious and I for one don't need anything else when it's just me for dinner.
